This video was recorded for the Berklee College of Music Twelve-Week Summer Program “Audition” (where I got accepted, if you’re wondering…) It is and arrangement, made by René Orea, of a Venezuelan valse originally written for guitar.
The rest of these videos were filmed in “Webster’s Got Talent Show” in 2011 and 2012. The first video is of the performance in 2011, where, yes, I am dancing samba, and yes, I’m in a traditional Brazilian samba suit, if you can call it a suit. Now, don’t be fooled by the looks! Check out the second video, where I made an adaptation of Katie Makkai’s poem “Pretty” and performed it the second year I participated in the talent show.
Since there are no Fine Art courses whatsoever in my University, I started a music club on campus. The two following videos were as well performed on the “Webster’s Got Talent Show” in 2011 and 2012. The first one is sometimes a little hard to understand, but is basically a “Stomp” imitation that takes place in a class (I’m the teacher). The second video, which is more of an entertainment than musical skills, we performed a remix of some of the most known 90’s songs.
